Here is a build I'm currently working on for a client. It will be about one foot tall from the deck to the top of the needle on the rocket. I'll be using green soda bottle plastic for the windows and balsa wood for the fins, additionally, I'll be using pine dowels for the needle.
All new updates below... More to come very soon.
Here's a small sample of recent work, much more to come.
Unfortunately, I've gotten behind schedule on this, so I'm doing a quick build on this ship for my client, this ship will have no electronics, or molding and casting, so it will go much faster.
Most recent work below... Worked on the body of the rocket, the rocket girls body and the electronics for the lighting.. I worked on electronics for several kits and ships the same three
days.. I totally cleaned up and relaminated the fins as well.
Even more new work, masking and painting the fins, to get better paint... Cleaning up the faceting on the rocket girl and smoothing and shaping the get a good clean figurem before sectioning and making molds.
As promised, new work and rocket girl... :)
Check out the link below, will be adding three to four of these as thruster, or rocket lights with the light shining through a clear cast of a flame shaped light bulb. http://www.batteryoperatedcandles.net/NAN-TL08-BLUE-12-p-tea-lights.html?gdffi=8a595859025f49cba89c44d3bc20137e&gdfms=011E63735BFC4E9EB60DE57E040D900A&gclid=CLig7Y-k9s4CFYODaQodMT4DUw
Very Imaginative and well executed
ReplyDeleteIt's a game model ripped out of Fallout New Vegas, retextured and unfolded into two dimensional patterns, printed up with laser color printer on 110 lb. cardstock. I'm currently covering it with water clear resin to smooth out the transitions and repainting the texture to blend everything together. Will be lighting it and add flame effects.
